If we’re building your brand, you probably want to know who’s behind the pixels. This is where I tell you how it all started, what keeps me curious, and why I care so much about doing this right. Or, if you’re more of a “see it to believe it” type"...
skip the small talk and head straight to the work.
With a background in fine arts and anthropology (we can talk about anthropology's dark past in another post), I bring a research-driven, human-first approach to branding and web design. I’ve always been fascinated by how people express who they are visually, verbally, emotionally. That’s what makes design so personal to me. As a lifelong fantasy enthusiast and unapologetic Hitchhiker’s Guide fan, I believe branding isn’t just about looking good, it’s about building tiny worlds that reflect the truth of who you are, and inviting the right people into them.
Because design is fun, and stressful, but in an exciting, brain-on-fire kind of way. It’s solving problems using color, type, layout, and with a love for making connections. It’s part psychology, part sociology, part history, and a dash of every liberal arts degree no one took seriously...well, until they needed to build a brand that actually connects.
I’ve always been someone who looks for patterns, listens closely, and genuinely enjoys learning about everything. Design, and specifically branding, lets me do all of that. It’s how I’ve turned a lifelong hyper-fixation into something that helps people tell their story clearly and beautifully.
I start by listening. Not just to what’s said, but to what’s tucked between the lines; meaning the hesitations, the sparks, the things that don’t yet have names. That’s where the good stuff usually lives. From there, it’s a deep dive into your work and the space you’re carving out. I look at the surrounding landscape: competitors, context, and future direction. Then we begin connecting the dots and designing a lasting brand.
Voice notes, scribbles, and long pauses welcome. We pay attention to what’s said, what’s felt, and what’s still forming.
We design with the understanding that branding impacts real people. That means creating work that’s accessible, sustainable, and grounded in respect for identity, context, and lived experience.
Honest, clear communication keeps the process collaborative and grounded. We’ll always keep you in the loop, jargon-free.
We don’t rush what deserves care. Every project gets the time and attention it needs to be thoughtful, aligned, and genuinely effective.
Branding that puts people, context, and connection first, because design is never neutral.
Not to vinyl (though, tempting), to your story. We start with a conversation: voice notes, scribbles, in-progress thoughts. Nothing needs to be polished. We’re just here to notice what’s already trying to take shape.
We reconnect. You see the early vision taking shape. We walk through ideas, name what’s working, and adjust what isn’t. Sometimes I go outside to let the birds weigh in. They’re surprisingly opinionated, and often right.
Then comes the deep dive. I research your work, your world, and your weirdly specific corner of the internet, armed with open tabs, old notebooks, and one too many cups of tea (for focus, obviously).
With clarity in place, we build. The strategy becomes structure, the visuals sharpen, and your brand starts speaking fluently through color, type, layout, and tone.
Yay, the visual stage! The one that seems easiest and somehow ends up being the hardest. Doodles, colors, type, oh my! But after a long walk and a well-timed breakdown... I mean... breakthrough, the visual design is ready to meet you.
Your brand is in your hands now fully aligned, equipped, and ready to move. It’s not a grand finale, but a quiet handoff. Handle with care (or don’t, it’s yours).
