Designing this brand required a careful balance. It needed to carry forward Indigenous values and visual language while remaining welcoming to people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. The challenge was to create something deeply rooted in tradition, without feeling limited by it. The identity had to be intentional, accessible, and adaptable to support both the client’s current work and the community-centered offerings still to come.
This process began with a deep strategy session centered on cultural storytelling, lineage, and the emotional resonance the brand needed to hold. We explored symbols, colors, and design systems rooted in Indigenous traditions, guided by the client’s ancestral connections and long-term vision. Every choice was shaped with care as we prioritzed honoring heritage while creating space for future growth, accessibility, and community impact.
The finished brand is a clear reflection of the client’s mission. It is rooted in heritage, inclusive by design, and built to carry meaning across every touchpoint. More than a visual system, the identity serves as a tool for storytelling, connection, and impact. Through the process, the client gained clarity around their goals and a stronger sense of direction for their team. The result is a brand that honors where they come from while confidently supporting where they are going.
"Working with Rachael has been integral to building my brand. She listened to and captured all the ideas, hopes, visions, and the essence of me, then narrowed all of it into my brand. Rachael’s work ethic and integrity is phenomenal, and it comes through in her work. She made sure the design was a beautiful and accurate representation of me and my business. She is a master at her craft. I would not work with anyone else to build the brand that will carry me and my business forward."
